What is Youth Ministry?
Youth ministry exists because of the recognition that kids lives matter, their opinions matter and what they know matters. We all believe in something but the question is why? At CVBF we don't take these things for granted, we want to ask the questions as we face this messy world together.
Cross Trainers and CrossRoads are the youth ministries of Cache Valley Bible Fellowship. As the names would suggest, it is our desire that the youth of our church, and our community, will grow up in the knowledge of the cross. The message of the cross is the power of God and with faith we are trained to face any obstacle or fork in the road. Paul offers insight to Timothy on the importance and benefits of being equipped in such a way:
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
"If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:6-10 ESV)
Cross Trainers is open to students grades 9-12 and CrossRoads is open to grades 6-8. No matter which church they attend on Sunday mornings our groups welcome those looking to learn, build relationships and have fun. Cross Trainers and CrossRoads currently meet together every Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm.

Wow, two years after Challenge 2016 we are back with the second installment! Challenge 2018 was all about Bold Moves, how Jesus lived and acted boldly and that as His disciples we are called to be courageous and act boldly as well. Eight students went to Kansas City, MO and came back excited to be bold here in Cache Valley.
Ten Cross Trainers students traveled to Louisville, KY during the first week of July to attend Challenge Conference. This national youth conference hosted some 5,000 students from around the country. We learned much about God and His commission to LIVE SENT.
