The light of the gospel equips us to confess the fear that holds us captive.

Spiritual restoration will not come from hard work; it requires the touch of God.

When Jesus says, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6) he is showing us the way to God. Certainly, we can balk at the exclusivity of Jesus’ claim, but it’s an undeniable declaration of the way Jesus says we are to go. Either it is true, or it is not.

While to be spiritual but not religious may sound good, without being rooted in something greater than ourselves, it will leave us empty and fail us when trials come.
